After reading??I thought I'd break out the oscilloscope and validate. Turns out my dummy load curve must be a bit different than the example. I'm getting 13.7V RMS at 11V input which should be around 3.75W. Peak to peak is around 39V. Sinewave looks good and max and min differed by maybe 10mV.
At 12V input I get 14.9V RMS, 42V peak to peak for 4.45W so about what can be expected I think. I thought those initial numbers from the dummy load directly might be optimistic.
