My QMX with AFM907NT1 puts out 2.5 to 4 Watts at 7.5V supply and 10W at 12V, pretty much as expected from a standard load line model. No circuit modification was needed and all performed as it should.
I would not call it a "drop-in" replacement since it was a lot of work to mount two on the board. It certainly cannot be a standard kit procedure. But if anyone cares to make an adapter board, it may be closer to that.
