The why the delay was done is RC into a 74HC14, 100 ohm variable and 47pf.
There were two one for the A and B phse (roughly 180 degrees opposed).
That and two device delay was to disallow pushing A side without a delay?
before pushing the B side.? Overall effect was a drive that was less than
160 degrees of the possible 180 for each leg.
