I had a bit of a fright, After my QMX had worked nicely for about a day it stopped. My Power/SWR meter read 0. No obvious reason, all the voltages and currents were fine, Rx was excellent..? Checked everything I could see. Found that the grounds of the BNC connector weren't soldered properly but that wasn't it. So I made up a dummy load with a peak RF voltage output, a Shotty Diode and capacitor. And that showed about 10V peak RF voltage, that's equivalent to a watt.? Perhaps it isn't broken, set up FT8 again and started transmitting - and QRPReporter shows me everywhere! Europe, NA, SA.
So it looks as it the SWR meter is dodgy.
Which come to my request, can we please have SWR and Power displayed.? I know it's on the list but can it be fairly high.? I think this will be very useful for everybody. I don't think we need precision, an indication will be enough, correcting for diode errors can come later. But something would be nice.
