Ive just sent you a ticket describing the fault in more detail...think we must have been typing at the same time.
One curious thing Ive just noticed is that when testing the 4 pin connector to the LCD board, is that if I touch with my finger the LED pin i.e. the one that connects to the gate of FET switching the LED on and off, the LED will go out, and slowly come back on again, which seems to suggest the LED pin is not connected to anything...just flapping in the wind. The LCD is switching on just because VCC is there.?
LED is connected to the processor OK
