Hello Hans, thanks for answering my post and the explanation provided. The 100mA current makes sense now. If you ever decide to modify the behaviour the option number 2 would be the way to go in my opinion.
Btw the soft power switch is a very elegant design. I really like it.
Re voltage display: this is going to be a very nice touch but to be honest I do not like it a lot. IMHO it is going to be too small to be useful and might have a "toy" like look. I would prefer to bring the power supply voltage screen for couple of seconds during power up or better still after some special key stroke (like tripple press of righ button). But that is just me. Kind of old school with a strong preference for ancient displays with legit character sets and not fancy little OLED screens with myriad of tiny icons. This is one of the reasons why I like QMX :)?
