I ordered my QMX a couple days ago and I am super stoked to try it out - Looks like another extremely impressive kit!? The but about buck converters and nudging the switching freq to move QRM was a really clever bit of engineering...
Anyways, I like to operate portable and often use an Android app (AndFLMsg) that can be used to send digi modes in AF over a 3.5mm audio jack.? With a radio with VOX you can run digital modes from a smartphone or Android tablet.
If the QMX could run VOX with audio input from the mic jack instead of the USB-C it would make it a cinch to run in the field.? Is this a function that it supports now, or is AF for digital modes only allowed through USB-C for now?? If so, is this a potential future upgrade?
