Further to my last post, here are some typical 2 and 3 cell boards.

?To all QRP Labbers,
Power supplies have been discussed ad infinitum on the forum so I thought I’d put my two -penneth in!
You can get numerous 3cell 12V and 2cell 8.2V LiPol charge/discharge controller boards for next to nothing on internet shops or other sources. Same with 18660 cells, those here are 3000mAh. All sorts of capacities are available.
See attached a very simple 12V 3000mAh battery for portable use. (And I use at the home station to reduce qrm/qrn from mains supply as well) quite few hrs of operations and they charge quite quickly.
Wrapping in polyimide tape for electrical and heat protection. Safe light portable where
12V= 12V or
9V = 8.2V
You won’t blow your QMX or QDX with these unless you have shorts on the board somewhere. Test power socket using DVM R - diode measurement before connecting a small but high current battery pack. V on R-diode should be 1.8 V when you press the left rotary encoder switch before you connect ANY power source. Anything less that that voltage on diode test means you might be in for a BANG and smoke!
I hope this all helps.
