There is no AGC yet. And the S-meter is not related to the AGC in this case. The S-meter was just implemented based on QCX and is not correct for QMX, so I have disabled it temporarily; but it had no effect on AGC which is not yet implemented in QMX.?
Operation of QMX without the AGC is perfectly possible; it seems to me you probably?have the audio gain turned up much too high and it is causing the DAC output to clip, which inflicts terrible distortion.?
That I understood. My question was more about whether the not yet activated AGC/S-meter could have something to do with it. I also wanted to point out that CW operation (for me) is not possible like this. At least not if one is concerned about his hearing ability.?
