Re: Status of High Bands QMX?

Hi Scott

1) We will provide a conversion kit, the same way we have for the QDX see?

2) The changes compared to the existing 80-20m QMX kit are just capacitor values, and new toroidal cores and inductances in the LPF and BPF.?

3) I am also intending to provide a mid kit covering perhaps 40-15m, that will be a more perfect combination for SOTA.?

4) An arbitrary selection of bands is not something I can provide. It takes careful design and testing, to select the correct capacitor and inductor values in theory, then test that they work properly in practice. So it is not feasible to offer an arbitrary selection of user choice of band; I have to provide certain fixed selections.?

Hi,? Quick question for Hans.? Looking in crystal ball, will a future high bands QMX likely be just a conversion kit for the current low bands model, or a major overhaul of low bands kit?? Also, do you foresee a buyer to be able to select band groupings, or will they be fixed?

Many thanks, 72, Scott VO1DR
