Also, to reiterate the timeline: the QDX worked great on-air for the first couple days after I built it. But after I put it into Terminal Mode (to run some of its internal tests), and shut it down following that, it has not been able to successfully communicate over the serial port. (I'm not claiming that Terminal Mode was necessarily the cause of the trouble, just reporting the timeline.)
