?Unfortunately our home QTH is on the ¡®highveld¡¯ which is a vast plateau (very few ¡®hills¡¯ let alone mountains) inland at about a mile asl? Need to travel to either Western Cape (say 1000Km to the south) or KZN (about 500 Km to the east) or go north west to the Waterburg mountains in Limpopo province (at least 4hrs drive one way). Another challenge being cost to reach wherever as am on a fixed pension (frozen more than 7 years ago) which hardly meets our current survival expenses. Answer? Relocate to Cape Town (easier said than done)? ?
Am seriously considering POTA but that also not without challenges (think safety).
Re your SOTA explainer, very concise and easy for a ¡®non amateur¡¯ to understand ??
