Hey everyone,
This is a bit of a walk of shame post. I was in the process of assembling my QCX-mini for 20m, when I noticed I had clearly installed one component incorrectly -> I had installed the male 2x4 UI header in place of the female 2x4 UI header on the main board. In retrospect that was probably the point at which I should have reached out for help, but for whatever reason I decided to try and de-solder the the component. I did eventually manage to get it off, but I essentially ruined the board in the process. I'm hoping that I may still be able to salvage it, so I'm posting a plan here to repair the damaged traces and pad. Hopefully I can get some guidance here and with some luck get this kit into operation.
I'll attach some pictures showing the damage, as well as a plan I've drawn on the pictures in red to fix the traces. You will probably have to zoom in a little to see the planned traces I drew on, they are small so that you can still see the surroundings.
Thanks in advance,
Cal
