Hi everybody ! Thanks to all ! During that time I found this nice video comparing the brands
BTW a question on the red dot finder : is it possible to adjust the brightness of the dot with the Autostar handle ? My ETX tube has the red California on it. There is no knob on the RDF. I did not find this info.

?I recommend J-B Weld epoxy.? I¡¯ve used it in a number of other applications and it is quite strong.
It does have a setting time of less than 5 minutes so you¡¯ll need to get everything aligned quickly.? To a trial mix to judge working time before tackling your scope.

Hello,
I'm looking for ideas ...
As you can see in the photo, the base of the finder broke.
I had previously managed to glue it back together and align it correctly using a good dose of hot glue. I had done the alignment during the rather long cooling time. Everything was fine until a very hot day when the ETX was in the sun ... The hot glue softened completely and the finder came off again.
So I can't use this glue with such a low melting point.
I spent a lot of time to successfully remove the glue! I needed a cutter by bending the blade, my fingers, a cloth, a wire brush ...
Do you have any ideas for making a more solid repair taking into account that the rough alignment is not easy but must be quite correct all the same from the start to be able to use the two fine alignment screws ...
