Thanks for the tip ! The Sugru?moldable?glue is expensive here (Israel) but I got the idea ... An equivalent easily found here is a MagicSteel bar. Will try asap.
Best,
Sylvain

Sugru mouldable glue will fix it. You can get black so it will match quite well.
I use it for fixing and fitting things and it is very good. You can get it from Amazon.
Once moulded and put in place, you will have to leave it a day or two to be sure it has set .
Best regards
Steve

Hello,
I'm looking for ideas ...
As you can see in the photo, the base of the finder broke.
I had previously managed to glue it back together and align it correctly using a good dose of hot glue. I had done the alignment during the rather long cooling time. Everything was fine until a very hot day when the ETX was in the sun ... The hot glue softened completely and the finder came off again.
So I can't use this glue with such a low melting point.
I spent a lot of time to successfully remove the glue! I needed a cutter by bending the blade, my fingers, a cloth, a wire brush ...
Do you have any ideas for making a more solid repair taking into account that the rough alignment is not easy but must be quite correct all the same from the start to be able to use the two fine alignment screws ...
