Bob Bingham, K9WMP, passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 90.? The cause of death was the result of a stroke.
Bob and his wife Laura, W9WMP, were Laurel Volunteer Examiners. Their VE Group was formerly known as the NOMADS Amateur Radio Test Team. They gave exams every Saturday at their home in "Venture Out in Mesa". It's believed that Bob tested over 1000 people during his service as a VE.
Bob and Laura also used to host exam sessions at Quartzfest.
