Volunteers Needed - Town of Queen Creek Trunk
or Treat, 10-16 The Town of Queen Creek Recreation Department has asked for QCECG communications support services for their very large event -?.
The event is on Saturday, October 16th, and runs for the public from 5 PM till 9 PM. Our participation will be for a (7) hour shift from 3 PM till 10 PM, with QCECG volunteers ARRIVING at 2:30 PM for check in.
We need a MINIMUM of (20) volunteers for this event. We will need volunteers to shadow event principles (4), support fixed locations (5), roam the event (3), shuttle bus pick-up/drop-off support (4), net control ops (3), and Fire/Medical/MCSO command support
(1). These are initial assignment expectations and may change. This year, we have an expanded role with specific communication protocols to follow.
There will be a follow-up email with more details for volunteers but for now, we need you to consider the date, check your availability, and support our request. The September monthly meeting of QCECG on Thursday, September 9th, will be our planning meeting for this event. We will detail the responsibilities of each assignment, the scope of our participation, event details, and the communications infrastructure we will be employing. This is an opportunity for QCECG members and any licensed local amateur radio operator that is interested in developing/maintaining/enhancing their EMCOMM communications skills. Thank you in advance for your service and participation.
