When I was in high school in the late 70s, I left my window open a crack for my RG-58/U cable to run from my bedroom to our backyard dipole. I was using my Drake R-4B/T-4XB at about 120 watts PEP. ? Fast forward to today. I am finally setting up my shack after an embarrassingly long hiatus. But I would like to run cable out the window or through the wall from my home office/shack to the side yard. ? I could close the sliding window on a small piece of plywood with connectors on both sides. Or I could go through the wall near the ground and have connectors on both sides.
