The q900 radio has Bluetooth built in. My Android tablet sees this Bluetooth. But when I try to connect to it from my tablet it asks for the PIN. It suggests 0000 or 1234 but neither of these work. The FT8cn software claims that it can connect to the q900 radio via Bluetooth. However I'm at a loss as to how that can be when I can't get my tablet to connect with the radio via Bluetooth without entering the correct PIN which isn't listed in the user manual or anywhere else online that I can find. Do any of you have any suggestions?

On a droid you will see two BT connected for the radio.? It should the the audio connection icon.? Regardless, I just enabled everything regarding BT to allow and it worked.?

I have the same issue. I'd like to know how to find the correct PIN. But when I connected?with the QRadioBLE app it doesn't make me do any of that - no PIN required.
I'd like to use WoAD directly with the Q900 to do Winlink from my Android phone over Bluetooth.

Good to see activity even if I don’t know what your talking about. I’m a retired RF tech and my primary interest is the radio. I’m on # 3 now and about to send it back. They all seem to have a problem. Have you measured sensitivity and power out? The last two acted like the coax that runs from the SO-239 to the RF board weren’t seated all the way. But I didn’t want to break the seal. So I sent them back. Ordered another one and wish I’d fixed the other ones as the problem was simpler. The one I’m on now appears to have ALC issues. I tried changing the acoustics of the mic and padded down the audio leaving the mike. Adding a 220 ohm resister across the audio pad helps with the back ground noise. To no avail. Works good in all modes except SSB transmissions. To much drive! Anybody been through this? Does anyone have one that the SSB squelch works properly?I put in the latest firmware and the squelch works just takes about 50uv to open it and it has no delay. Needs a fast attach slow decay circuit. Think it’s a software issue? They say three’s a charm. I might try one more but so far I havn’t seen one make spec as a radio. I’m new here and don’t know if this goes through so would appreciate a response of any sort just so I know this is working. Even just a piss off mate would be good. Thank you 73

Dave it has been my experience that most issues are softer related.? Each new release fixes 1-2 things, adds 1-2 things (they may or may not function), then they break two more.? They are promising a new binary in November. We’ll see…… But I wouldn’t beat your head trying to remediate SW issues with a HW fix.? That’s just my opinion man. Hold on until the next release, they will have had 7 months to bang on it, so hopefully it should be ok. I’m trying to be optimistic. ?

Great thank you Brian. My debut into modern radio’s. I do have a couple of questions. As you said probably a software issue. Does your sound good on SSB? Does your SSB squelch work?

I have a slightly different model, the TBR-119. Same software but different hardware.? The short answer to your question is no, it doesn’t sound great. But SSB squelch does work.?

In the FT8CN application there is an option to connect via Bluetooth. You have to use that.
Same for the QueBLE app that has to be connected from within the application itself.
It doesn't connect in the standard way that most Bluetooth devices do. There is pin code.

Well that's my problem. It's asking for the Q900's Bluetooth pin but I don't have it.
