Thanks, Cory. I? looked yesterday? but don't have? a tiny? enough tweezers to open the ribbon cables! I will get some and try re-seating them later.
By the way, I? ran across this some time ago but? it got lost in the shuffle, and maybe someone else has? posted this video from a knowledgeable Russian, but may not have noticed? that you can translate into English:
Subtitles are in Russian, but you can set the gearwheel options to auto-translate into English subtitles.

I have it here, I think I've? just attached it properly. Naming is same as others, but? pretty? sure this? is the one I put on the USB stick and it updated properly, back to 3.2.1

Thanks, Bob. There were complaints about "no master reset". I wonder if this would work when I accidentally or from curiosity hit the DMR button and the system flies. I'll check that.

If you ever find yourself stuck in RTTY transmit press the period button once then again

It is very important to ground this transceiver, if RF gets into the rig it will lock up, I have had this happen to me and the transceiver would not shut off (it was on internal batteries) I would suggest if one is confidant enough to solder a switch across the battery terminals to quickly shut off the rig in an lock up state.?

I would open up your radio and see if the connectors are still on. During shipping sometimes the wires are moved, there is no swr measurement on the vhf/uhf side on the radio so difficult to see if you have blown finals. If you do choose to open our radio watch the ribbon cables for the front panel they are very fragile. Hope that helps,

Firmware Version 3, Q900?
Any idea where to download the latest firmware? In trying to solve my no-transmit on VHF/UHF, I thought it would be on the USB stick, but it wasn't.
So I downloaded what was said to be the latest firmware and put it on the USB stick, 'upgraded', but it turned out to be a version two firmware, which didn't improve anything, and on boot-up, shows that the gyro module is not detected!
Now I can't find the Version 3 firmware!

I tried my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse today and it works! Just plug its wireless USB plug into the USB port on the back of the radio. So thanks for the cheat sheet!
