I had the same error .... pse have a Lock on the Soundcardsettings in CNSDR.
In my Case the wasn?t a Soundcard selected.. chose one and CNSDR works propper

I have made some note, but I hope we can find a Chinese manual, even if we have to use Google Translate to use it. The list of filters seems the main thing of use and, of course, the ease of tuning. Your observations?

I am using Beta 1.? It works - mostly.? Is there a manual floating around for this application, and are there any newer versions around?

I used the Q900 for about two hours in the DX contest.? I will say the receiver held up nicely.? Needed to carefully adjust the IFG and RFG to reduce overload and distortion.? The IFG was set at about 45 percent and the RFG to 25-40 or so.? I adjusted the IFG to a point just below distortion and the RFG to where I could hear the signal clearly with the least background noise.? From there it was just about selecting the correct filters for the conditions.? The filter walls appeared to be steep as it was easy to lose a signal completely if you had the filters too tight and were a bit off frequency.?

As far as tuning around, I used the N1MM up and down arrows exclusively.? All in all it worked fine - I was impressed with the RX as far as the clarity of the received signals (when everything was properly adjusted) and at no time felt like the receiver was overloaded and unable to handle the signals on the band.? Now of course the ergonomics of the radio make things difficult at times but if you take your time it all works out.? I made 47 contacts in two hours of experimentation and low-stress operating.

I continue to be impressed with this radio.? It has a "permanent" spot in my shack right now.? My FT-991a is lonely...

BTW, I am on a roundtable every weekday with avid N1MM+ users. I would be tickled to tell them about your success. One is a CWA instructor at the moment and one is awaiting his Q900 after no communication from the seller for weeks.

I think it would be noble of you to do so. Please report. I can't imagine easy S&P using only the LED to tune and i have not practiced enough with other SW yet to be comfortable and to do as well as on my Eagle and Kent paddle. One of the Russian responders in that video says "Not for radio sport." Prove him wrong!

Thinking of trying out the Q900 in the contest using N1MM. ?I think if I master the various filters and IF/RF gain settings thus could work.

I will take my Q900 to the office and run some BER tests in both modes to see what the difference is.? I work for Motorola and have all the test equipment on my bench.

sure I have suggestions.. and next to that, I am happy to proofread.. I have been writing manuals for applications as well in the past... sometimes people not just need to know what button does what, but how would you do this, and that..?

If you hit play at the bottom of the app, that starts the waterfall. See if that works.?

I can't seem to get CNSDR to work reliably.? The CAT portion works, but no waterfall or spectrum scope.? Wish it did as it would open up more of the features on the desktop compared with other rig control programs that just partially implement.? Any secrets out there to getting CNSDR to work properly?
