did someone know a SDR App for the Q900 V4 what works with Iphone ?
I can't download QRadioBLE in Austria or Germany. I also tried the trick with the other Country and a new Apple User in England. Still the same message. Not available in your Country

I had the misfortune to buy a Q900 from Banggood,nice looking radio!? HF output was to spec but vhf/uhf was almost non existent.Unable to get any tech support from supplier or manufacturer.The only good thing was i bought with my cc through
paypal and got a full refund.

I just wanted to clarify the models of Q900.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
GuoheTec licensed the Q900-V1 to Retevis/Ailunce? and they marketed it and sold it as the Ailunce HS2
GuoheTec licensed the Q900-V2 to Radioddity and they marketed it and sold it as the QR20
Then GuoheTec developed the Q900-V3 and decided to sell it through distributors as an organic product from GuoheTec.?
Then GuoheTec developed the Q900-V4 and sold it direct and through distributors.
They simultaneously created the PMR-171 manpack line from the Q900-V4 and sold it the same way.
So when folks talk about the QR20 or the HS2, it's not a 'relabeled' Q900-V3 or V4, it's an older
version model. I have 2 Q900-V3 and a PMR-171 (which has Q900-V4 guts). The V4 is much improved over the V3 and, especially V2 and V1 models.
I just wanted to lay out my understanding, have held all 4 models at one time or the other.

Be careful though, if the button inside is off-center, you could break the traces on the button assembly. I did that, but after opening the radio to see why it didn't function,? luckily it still worked.

Open the top cover. You'll see SMD diode marked with a large arrow? Remove the diode. This will unlock the whole spectrum. Nake sure to stay in the allowed range in you QTH. 73 Izzy 4Z4CI

by default on the Q900. How do I open the Q900 to use frequencies currently locked as ?out of band? ??

@Lenny You can press the On-Bottom from q900 longer than 5 seconds to Start new...
There is a hole on the back side of q900. Press it with a paper-clip or similar to make a Reset...
My Radio seems to be Def? Are there any fix's For the Q900? Reset or any other tricks? Was working fine Then turned it on and stopped receiving. I put a radio on same coax system & works. Not sure why it is def? Any help would be greatly appreciated?

there's a pe42641 chip?that burns out if storms or insufficient isolation from RF power amp gets?to it. it's a bad design taht?can be easily fixed.

Re: Firmware update error
You will need to unzip the new firmware file folders, then change directory to the model of radio in question. Extract/copy the file called FW-NEW.bin and place it in the home/root directory of the USB thumb drive
Basically the location where when you insert the USB drive, that is the home or root directory. Then when you plug the drive into the radio, it will recognize that file type and load it.?
