5 Positions wih the Education Department:
1 Science Coordinator
2 Agricultural Science Teacher
3 Physical Education teacher
4 Home Economics Teacher
5 Technology and Design teacher
The Education department of the Republic of Nauru is inviting applications
for the following positions at the Nauru Secondary School in Nauru.
1 One position only for a Science Coordinator to teach Biology for yr.
12 classes. The successful applicant will also be required to teach Science
in the Junior Secondary level. He or she will be expected manage the
Science section for the School and to have at least 3 years of work
experience in teaching would be an advantage.
Qualifications required at the minimum will be a Bachelor in Education
majoring in Biology.
Contract is for two years with salary range from AUD$14,575.00 - AUD$17,045.00

2 One Position only for Agricultural Science Teacher to teach at the
Junior Secondary level for Years 8,9,10. The successful applicant will be
required to also develop the Agricultural Science course for the senior level.
Qualifications required at the minimum will be a Bachelor of Education
majoring in Agriculture studies. Contract for the position is for two years
renewable every two years.
Salary range: AUD$14,575 - AUD$17,045

3 One position only, for Physical Education teacher. The successful
applicant will be required conduct Physical Education classes to Years 8,9
10. He/she will be responsible to manage, develop and expand the range of
practical and health programs for the school
Qualifications required at the minimum will be a Bachelor of Education
specializing in the area of Health Science, and Physical Education.
Contract is for two years renewable every two years.
Salary range: AUD$14,575 - AUD$17,045

4 One position only, for Home Economics Teacher. The successful
applicant will be required to manage and develop the subject to be taught
for years 8,9, 10. Nauru Secondary school is looking for a senior teacher
who must be an enthusiastic and experience person to develop the theoretical
and practical aspects of the textiles and cooking curriculum.
Qualifications required at the minimum, is a Bachelor of Education
specializing in Health/Nutritional Science and Textiles with practical
experience in teaching Home Economics of at least three years. The position
is for a two years contract renewable every two years.
Salary range: AUD$14,575 - AUD$17.045

5 One position only, for Technology and Design teacher. (Manual arts,
wood, metal and graphics) Nauru Secondary school is looking for applicants
preferably with trade background to develop the subject area. The
successful applicant will be required to teach years 8,9,10 and will need to
be resourceful, adaptable, enthusiastic, practical and cheerful.
Qualifications required at the minimum, is a Bachelor in Education.
Contract is for a two years term, renewable at the end of every two years.
Salary range: AUD$14,575 - AUD$17,045
