EXPATRIATE RECRUITMENT
Timor Aid is rapidly growing East Timorese aid NGO. It needs to strengthen
its capacity to handle the demands of the many current needs in East Timor.
Timor Aid qualified personnel to develop local staff capacities.
We are the leading East Timorese aid NGO in the fields of relief,
reconstruction and development. Our long-term projects are in Education,
Health, Welfare and Income Generation.

Timor Aid is seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals
for the following management positions:
General Program Manager
Program Development
Corporate Relations
Women's Program
Education Program
Welfare Program
Facilities Supervisor/Logistician
Building and Construction Supervisor
International experience in NGO's in developing countries in the sectors
indicated is essential. Experience in East Timor or in the Pacific would be
particularly relevant.
Expatriate personnel are paired with East Timorese counterparts and
assistants. The expatriate trains and transfers skills to the counterpart.
Strong training skills are crucial for any position.
Language skills are very important. Tetum, Bahasa Indonesia and Portuguese
are the local languages, fluency in English is also essential.
We are looking for people with: ability to work in a multicultural
environment, ability to supervise and motivate staff, initiative, good
organisational skills, high level of interpersonal and verbal communication
skills, adaptability to difficult conditions.
Assignment: 2 years
Closing date: 20/07/00
Total Salary range: US$ 1000 to US$ 3000
