PACIFIC ISLANDS FORUM SECRETARIAT

SUVA, FIJI

VACANCY

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat was established in 1972 by the South Pacific Forum to encourage economic and political cooperation between member states and other countries. Based in Suva, Fiji, the Secretariat implements regional policy on behalf of members. As part of its efforts to establish a Pacific region Free Trade Area, the Secretariat is currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following EDF-funded positions:

- Trade Policy Adviser (TPA)

- Trade Policy Officer (TPO)

- Fiscal Reform Officer (FRO)

The Trade Policy Adviser and Officer positions are for a period of two years. The Fiscal Reform Officer position is for a period of eighteen months. Applicants must be citizens of European Union (EU) or African, Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP) countries which are signatories of the Lome IV Convention second protocol.
