Alternator Upgrade

Daryl Clark All Messages By This Member #207 Edited Planning to install a Balmar 100 amp alternator on my Yanmar 3GM30F . Purchased the serpentine belt/pulley kit and the new alternator already has the right pulley! ? anyone done this before? Any unforeseen fitting issues? I will also be upgrading the wire to support the additional current… Daryl
Steve Johnson All Messages By This Member #208 Hi Daryl, One thing to watch out for is to be sure you have enough room between the side of the new alternator casing and the port side of the engine “box”.? It may not be an issue…but I don’t think there is a ton of spare room in that area.?
