Caught up with Simon and Roger (the 84 Euro) too chatting about the 928s in general.? Also had a good discussion with several folks who were interested in getting a 928 which is always fun.
GT ran great and the A/C is still blowing ice cubes after all these years.
German Car day is coming up June 14th.? Start planning :)

That's Mark W's car (NorCal).? He won a bunch of awards
(including at the Concours on the avenue back in the day).
Has a Greg Brown rebuilt engine and his attention to detail
rivals that of Rob Edwards (Rennlist).
It'll be interesting to see what it goes for.

Looks like the weather forecast will be good (final call on Thursday).
For those coming up from the south on I5 there is an overnight closure just north of Olympia (Fri to Sat and Sat to Sun) from 8 pm to 6 am.? WSDOT is diverting traffic off at exit 119 which runs along I5, and re-enters further north.? They are installing some bridge structures across I5.?
They say the lanes will start to re-open at 6am (not sure what that means), but just be aware that there may be backups through this area in the early morning on Sat (or late on Friday).

Randy - My “used” comment only meant that the car has been “driven” like Professor Porsche always said Porsche’s should be. ? It’s really in nice shape - the seats are all stitched nicely still & the outside is really nice. ?There’s a couple of places on the undercarriage where you can see that the engine & trans cover have hit bottom once or twice. ?no biggie that’s happened to all 928’s if you’re driving them ?like they like to be. ??
I have 82k miles on my 1980 - mine has more rock chips, probably due to more track time than this GT has. ?
we’ll see what happens in the next three days, but it doesn’t look like this will reach whatever reserve might be set. If that happens, we’ll have to wait and see what the PCarMarket “deal tank” price is. ?

Wow, that was my car.? I've always wondered what happened to it as it got shipped back east when I sold it.? It was my favorite car - even beating my first car, a 1977 TransAm :-P

Keith, I am not sure what you mean by "Looks like no wrecks, although it certainly has been used."? Do you mean like "used up" or "abused"?? To my non-mechanical eye, it still looks pretty good for a 34yo car with 85K miles.? It was still certainly very nice when I sold it.? I believe it was pretty straight stock when I sold it so somebody must have tweaked the exhaust a little.? It was heavily tinted when I bought it (it came from CA) and it looks like that has been removed.

I did track it a little while I had it - a few PCA events, a few ProFormance sessions, and a couple of 928 Spokane events, all of which were a blast.? It was fun having 911 instructors - it blew them all away with how well it handled (with a stock suspension).
