Linen is the color I was thinking about.? It's a great color in combination with the Granite Green.
A squirter block is one that has little holes in the bottom of the bore that shoot oil on the underside of the pistons to keep them cool.? For some who build these engines that's a benefit, but others suggest it contributes to the "mist" of oil that is entrained in the crankcase and eventually sucked back into the intake.?
I think there is a VIN cutoff where Porsche quit using these squirters (generally VIN under 1000) so early 87's.?
Also, if it's an early 87 it may have ultra cool, but totally worthless flip up rear wing.? A complex and fragile hinge under the rear wing that allows it to be lifted up to clean the bottom part of the rear glass.? It breaks easily and is expensive to replace.? It has also been reported to rattle a bit so generally annoying.?
If you look under the mounting area of the rear wing you should see some of the hinge mechanism.? Also, to lift it up, especially after not doing it for a long while, it'll take some effort to lift.? If you do test, make sure it's a hinge before yanking on it :D .
