Re: Saturday August 26th 928 Meet, Mend & Eat BBQ in Battle Ground WA

Pacnw928 guys- The wine I got with the Pelican Parts voucher arrived yesterday. 12 bottles of red for $89! I drank a bit of a South African Shiraz last night. It was delicious! I'm not sure how long they're offering those vouchers or how much you have to spend to get one (I spent a little over $100) but for anyone who loves wine, it's a great deal! These bottles retail between 25 and 40 dollars. You'll have a chance to sample a few Saturday if you are at the BBQ. Anyone planning on attending should let Keith know soon by emailing him at keithmartin@.... He will email you directions. Come on over to Battleground fellas! The more the merrier!

Kind Regards,
Mick

I've emailed you privately for directions Keith, but thought I'd let the rest of the group know, I ordered the red wine with the voucher I received from pelican parts. Hopefully, that arrives at my doorstep in the middle of the week. I'll be bringing a few bottles to the BBQ. I'm also happy to order some pizza for those who've not brought anything to cook. (I'll be ordering some for myself, as dealing with the timing belt tensioning and concerning myself with cooking steak seems like a bit too much to deal with).

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Time - Let's start around 1 PM and plan to stay until 7 to 8 PM if desired.? Come when you want or can.? We will work on cars, then eat & drink (a bit) - cannot allow overindulged drivers to leave.....
I have a large BBQ, lots of chairs, picnic tables & picnic tools - (someone bring some HD paper plates), and I have wine openers & coolers to put drinks in, etc.? Bring ice if necessary.??
I have two 3-ton jacks and 6 Jack Stands (4 really good ones - if we need more, someone could bring some more jack stands), and 2 pairs of drive-on ramps (for 928's we may want to jack a car up and "put" it on the ramps, not drive it up).?
I have a number of vacuums and a steam cleaner and lots of hoses & hose bibs.?
I have quite a few metric tools (no riming belt tensioner) and lots of shop lights - people could probably bring some more lights.?
Also, have 2 drain pans.? If someone needs to "drain oil" bring your own plastic milk jugs for recycling - I have a few but just to be sure.? I can recycle with my garbage pickup.??
Let me know if you have a "leaker" on arrival - I have big pieces of cardboard for my concrete driveway or garage if necessary.??
Accommodations:? Best Western Plus Battle Ground Inn & Suites is the only motel near - Phone: 360-687-8881; Address: 1419 W Main Street, Battle Ground, WA 98604 - 3 miles from my house.? Tons of accommodations in the Vancouver area.??

Email me and advise how many are coming, what plans you have for working on your 928's, and what food & snacks you want to bring.??
Oregon Pinot Noir is my favorite wine.? I also love the SE Washington Red wines.??
For my basic location for travel planning, I am 2 miles South of Downtown Battle Ground, about 23 minutes from PDX.??
Let me know who is able to come.??

After I receive emails I will directly email you back (not through the PACNW928 page) my address & phone.? If you include your cell phone number I can probably directly send my address to put directly into your phones.??
