Re: MILLER, Prudence b. 14 Aug 1830 d. 26 Jan 1861

Hi Diane,

All suggestions are welcome. I had been able to run down all of that except Amelia's death certificate. I will once again try to track down Francis. That could be the way to break this.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Jim,

I checked for the names in my tree. I do have Millers, but its unlikely that they were related. Aside from it being a common name, the Millers in my tree immigrated from Normanby, England to the U. S. in 1828 and settled in Mead Township.

Prudences maiden name was probably Miller. Prudences mothers name may have been Elizabeth. In 1850, Thomas and Prudences household in South Shenango Township included 1 year old Mary E. Wise, 20 year old John Jackson, and two Millers. Elizabeth Miller was 53 and Francis Miller was 16. Also, when Prudence Amelia Pennman died in 1910, her parents names were given as Thomas Wise and Prudence Miller.

At the risk of giving unwanted advice, I have a couple of suggestions. Just in case Francis was Prudences brother, you might be able to follow up on him. Find his fathers name, then hope there is a will that names all family members. Since Elizabeth was born in Pennsylvania, but Prudence and Francis were both born in New York, their father may have died in either place.

Good luck,

Diane

Family Surnames: Green - Spears - Rathbun - Cole of Crawford County

Hi everybody,

Just wanted to get my Crawford County surnames listed.

Louisa Green daughter of Jared and Sally Washburn of Beaver Township, Crawford county married Milton R Spears on 1 Dec 1853

Milton's mother, Calista Rathbun Spears had remarried Harvey Cole and lived in Beaver Twsp, after Harvey died she and there children moved across the border into Ashtabula County Ohio

I believe that Milton's brother Henry went by the name Rathbun instead of Spears and married Sophona Taft in 1862 and ended up in Erie County.

Thank for any info
Randy

Looking for parents of Harriett HUBBLE (Spelling?) 1803 NY to 1840 Crawford Co PA She was married to Roswell ADAMS.

Re: Hello You'll

Beverly, Noted your mother was a member of the Hood Family and remembered a Cynthia Hood who married one of my Kelly half cousins in Fallowfield / Greenwood township. If this is part of you family you'll want to hang their grandson Oakley Kelly, on your family tree for the 1st trans US Flight Mercer County claims him, but I believe he was born in Crawford Co. per his WW I draft registration .

Enjoy, Todd

Re: Hello You'll

Janice, (Via The list) First, Thank You for your list.

Second. My GGG_Grandmothher Mary (Kelly) Lackey is not buried in Lakeview. Probably, I'm to blame. I had her death date from the Family Bible and found the space with no tombstone between GGG Gpa Robert Lackey and GG Gpa John 7 GG Gma Mary (Lackey) McKay and assumed, she was buried there, adding . Mary (Kelly) Lackey is buried in the Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington, Lawrence Co, PA. Apparently she died while visiting or living with her son who was attending Westminster College. He later became a Minister.

Third, We Have too many lists. I revised one for Gale Ittell (I forget she did marry Dana Failes) a couple years ago, of which I received which I received an update of from David Lynch. I finally managed to untangle my Allen Clan which I'm adding adding to David's list at the present time. Pleas, Send me your E mail address, so I can send you I cop when I finish.

Bob Todd

PS: Everyone who has ancestors and/or relatives buried in Lakeview, Please send their names and i'll make sure their on the list.

I am also the secretary to the Adsit Cemetery and have acquired information on the Barber Cemetery if you are interested. If I can be of any help just reach out.
