Re: Roll Call? Re: Mast Family from Berks

开云体育

Ben Ray,

Most of the Mast families of Berks trace their citizenship to Guggisberg and Wahlern in Switzerland. If you can trace any of your Mast families to the immigrants, I have a spreadsheet containing every Mast in these two parishes. I can probably trace your immigrants to the earliest records in 1577. I retired, I work for free, and I need a project to fill some slack time.

Maybe you missed my previous offer of help during the roll call.? May I help you? Yes or no?

Re: Roll Call?

Who on the list has researched in the 1720-1840 furnace and forge records of Berks/Philadelphia counties at HSP, State Archives, Hagley Library, Hopewell, CCHS or elsewhere.? Ledgers kept by the extended Rutter - Potts Family, Branson, Old and others.? Anyone?? Many who worked on the iron plantations owned no land and paid no taxes, but had families whose social and economic circumstances are evident from analysis of the ledger records kept by the ironmaster.? I have done a fair amount of research on my family, John Kerlin Sr. (1722-1812), first cousin of John Potts (ca.1710-1768).? Property or tax records for my Kerlin/Kirlin ancestors in Philadelphia or Berks County are few, but the furnace and forge records help to place family, neighbors and associates together and reveal their relative economic wealth.

Anyone else research in furnace and forge ledgers of Philadelphia/Berks county?

Also, to the person who has Douglass ancestors?? Ever read the Douglass store ledgers from the late 1700s-1840s.? They are at Jenssen Library of Berks History Center in Reading.

Sharon -
Lidia SCHUMACHER b. 1796 in PA. d. 1840 Berks Co. Lidia was my 1st Cousin 5x removed.
Lidia nee SCHUMACHER FAUST was the daughter of Heinrich "Henry" SCHUMACHER b. 1773 in PA d. 1822 in Berks Co. and Frederica nee JUMBER or JUMPER b. March 1776 PA. d.Nov 1849 in Berks Co. Heinrich SCHUMACHER was my 4th Great Granduncle.

I agree that the FAUSTS seen in the Hain's Church records could very well be related to the Albany Township FAUSTS . All the Hans and Johannes make me dizzy too !

Hi Sharon-
Thank you for your reply - I have a couple of records for Daniel Faust.
One is his baptism record from the Rosenthal New Bethel Church in Albany Township, Berks County, PA.
His Parents - Sebastian & Anna Elisabeth nee Ritter Faust; dated - 24 November 1793.
I've looked at the Hain's Church list of Faust's ; I need to do a deeper dive to root out the rest from Albany Township before looking more closely the one's
listed at Hain's.

My Direct Bloodline runs thru Lidia Schumacher's family - I've been lucky enough to pick up a few living cousins thru that line - thanks to my DNA tests too <3

Re: Roll Call? - FAUST - FISHER - SCHUMACHER - WEISS

Marianne,? A quick search on MyHeritage suggests these may be generations of the same family, but I am getting cross-eyed looking at repeats of the same given names.? If there is a conection, I would guess the older Fausts came from Albany Twp and some spread out to Hain's.? Sharon

There were some lists of interest that were of posted or information found in newspapers.? Directions to libraries, churches, historical societies that might help.?
