A Royal Australian Air Force No. 11 Squadron AP-3C Orion comes in to land at Clark Air Base during Exercise Balikatan 2016.

The Australian Defence Force is participating in Exercise Balikatan 2016, a bilateral United States Pacific Command and the Armed Forces of the Philippines exercise, conducted in various locations across the Republic of the Philippines from 31 Mar?to 18 Apr 16. Balikatan 2016 is the 32nd iteration, with the series of exercises designed to both enhance military-to-military relationships and to support the Armed Forces of the Philippines transition from an internal security force to a territorial Defence Force. The?ADF is contributing 86 personnel over a range of specialisations, including 30 Special Forces personnel, an RAAF?AP-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft, and support personnel, construction engineers, maritime operation planners, and a dentist.
