Some people and toddlers are independent by nature, though not everyone is. I cannot tell you how many blind adults come to the center for independent living where I work and are content to not ?learn their way around a very simple building layout and prefer
to travel sighted guide whenever anyone offers. I feel certain this must ?also be true for young children. Not being a professional, I will not suggest specifics, but I do encourage not over enabling both adults and children who are b/lv to believe that traveling
sighted guide is the best way to travel all the time.

Hi?
Does anyone have any suggestions to encourage a toddler to use her cane? She was using it for several weeks but has now decided that she is familiar enough walking outside with her family and doesn't need it anymore.?
Other than having her walk an unfamiliar route, does anyone have any other ideas?
Thank you
Rosemary Gribbin?
