?? Something about??? being eighty that seems like a milestone or is it Millstone?
Ha ha ha.... anyway ... interesting to be here. on tjis planet for this long. ?Seems like a long time but then again it went sooooo fast.??? Just wondering how y'all are dooin. ?? I've been reading a lot lately, mostly controversial stuff, about all the cures and procedures that the AMA and big Pharma don't want us to know about.? Hard to believe but these folks are serious.?? Perhaps being 80 I'm skeptical about all government things and large corporate anythings. ??? But they are making BILLIONS if not TRILLIONS off of the general public so they have major motive to keep us from the truth.? But it could be true or not.? I'll probably never know. ? Just wish the ethics level of our Congress hadn't dropped so low. But then I'm reminded of what Will Rogers had to say about them back in his day.? Doesn't sound much different than now. ? Anyway Interesting time to be alive. Stephen Hatch???? -my thoughts for the time being-?? |
Hi, Steve: Thanks for stirring us up again, and hopefully we'll hear from our many 1959 class friends. I've mentioned before that Lincoln Mintz and I shared the honor of being the youngest in our class, but aside from our classmates, I've discovered that I'm older than just about everyone else I know. What does that mean? And with the national and world situations, have I also become a crabby person? I'm bothered by how politicized almost all topics are handled. The movie/video that Andy Lee shared with us about our last day at OHS depicted perhaps a simpler time, and have things ever become complicated! A good example is the inconsistencies of Gov. Gavin Newsom who seems to want to do the right thing, but even after he's required state employees to be vaccinated, why does a high percentage of these employees (police, DMV staff, etc.) choose not to be. And why isn't he enforcing the rule he's established? There wasn't a problem when the remedy for polio was developed. I used to see polio victims who were in my elementary school, but it was so good to not see individuals like this shortly after. So what's the deal? See, I am crabby. Beyond that, I think I'm okay. We have two great granddaughters who allow us to spoil them at their whim, and Shirley and I recently got our Moderna booster so that maybe someday relatively soon we'll be able to operate somewhat normally again. We haven't traveled anywhere for almost two years now, and I'd like to see things calm down even more before I dare pull out our passports. Well, now that I've had my say, how about everyone else in our wonderful class? I think the only one I've spoken with was Louie Barranco who has exchanged phone calls with me and Richard Lim who emails occasionally. Hello to all of you! Gary F. I think the older I get the less tolerance I have. I remember smallpox vaccinations, I remember polio, I remember Public Health. Like...don't spit on the ground because it spreads 'germs'. Wonder how long since that ordinance has been enforced.
I saw something this morning that really upset me, so I am going to vent to you, my old classmates.? I live on a somewhat busy street, especially during rush hour when all those people are trying to get to Intel. The entrance to my community is half-way between two intersections controlled by traffic signals. There is another street that is directly across from my entrance street, and that street leads to an elementary school. At the intersection with the major street, on each of the four corners, there are sizeable barriers with the posting "crossing closed". At 7:30 this morning, in the dark and the rain, I saw two sets of parents leading their school children past the barriers and across the busy street to get to school. It is one short block either way to access the signal controlled intersections. Parents teaching their young children to flout the rules and putting people and drivers in danger. I just don't get it! They probably do this every school day but I only saw it today because dog and I were a little late getting out on our first walk. Definitely a reason to avoid that area at 7:30. I don't want to be in a position to see an accident happen. End of rant-for-the-day. Hello from drizzly Portland. Claire? |
I think most of us remember those as well.Claire.
?? What I read recently is that the Salk vaccine was actually a vaccine. ? It worked like a vaccine.? The problem is that the covid 19 shots are not vaccines but instead add some additional spike to your own white corpuscles.? This can in turn act as? a re-infecting agent.? The theory being that this will cause your system to fight the virus but sometimes it simply causes a mutation.? Thus a new strain of the virus.as we have witnessed. I'm not sure how I stand on this but I definitely want to see more evidence. ???? I fear we are really losing our rights and our constitution when they can DEMAND we get an untested controversial shot.?? I welcomed the Salk vaccine but this seems too rushed and untested.? oh bother........ and they are arresting parents that complain at PTA meetings. That's a horrible prospect.. ? I don't think they can fix prejudice by separating everyone and trying to make all our children feel guilty for things they haven;t done. Sorry......ill shut up now. Steve |
