FREE Green bean seedlings
If you are ready to plant that vegetable garden, I have a dozen green bean seedlings ready to go in the ground. These are the Kentucky Wonder variety, and last summer’s crop was a wonder indeed. A dozen stalks produced more than our family of eight could eat! This spring I’ve replanted half a dozen sprouts from the seeds I saved, and I still have plenty of plants looking for a good home.
All you need is a sunny spot, decent soil, and a six-foot bean pole or trellis. If you want any or all of these, they will be on our front deck for the taking!

Hi Neighbors!
Today Paul is cycling to Sacramento with his friend Mike Napolitano. No rest stops with friendly volunteers to ply them with food, water, and energy drinks, no SAG wagon support, no cheering fans to greet them at the Capitol — just the two of them biking over 100 miles and trying to catch an Amtrak train home. (If they miss both of the late afternoon trains, I guess I’m driving to Sacto to pick them up…? I’m always ready to serve as "the wife bail-out" but he hasn’t taken me up on the offer yet, in all these years!)?
