I have secured the use of the main Coastside repeater and another volunteer to act as the DOC during the exercise.? It would help me greatly if you can tell me whether or not you will be mobile (on foot/bicycle/skateboard/etc) during the exercise.? Personally, I wil be setting up a station at the Rally Point (beside the 2nd hole tee box).? I will be handing out scripts to everyone by the weekend.? This is a historical event.? This will be the first ever CERT exercise conducted by Ocean Colony.? So, let's make this count.? We are still good to go for FEB6!
Some ground rules:
1.? If you're mobile, wear your mask.
2.? Volunteers will not "enter" a structure.
3.? CERTs will be busier than before.
4.? We will not be able to cover ALL of OC during the exercise.
5.? If you have a ham radio, you are welcome to listen to the chatter between OC and DOC.? But, please do not transmit.
6.? If you have a go-bag or emergency gear, prepare them.? But, you don't have to bring your gear with you during the exercise.
7.? If you have any questions, please let me know before the exercise.?
8.? If you know of other residents who wish to participate, please let me know.
9.? All residents who possess an FRS radio can tune in on CH2 and LISTEN during the exercise.
10.? Do not use your cell phones during the exercise.? We will only be using our WTs.
