Re: Registax and Win 11
Autostakkert gave me artifacts in images it loaded for reasons unknown. I still like it, but am a little gun shy now. I am converting .MOV to .AVI. so there could have been a file difference. It

Re: lunar eclipse
I didn't plan to stay up, but as usual i woke up at about 3:30am. The umbra was about half way across the moon so quite interesting. But as bad luck seems to triumph, the moon was partially obscured

Re: lunar eclipse
I got up for the peak thanks to my daughter who did stay up. I used a Rebel XS and a 300mm zoom and a Fuji Finepix. This is a stack of 17 images.
May be an image of nature and sky

I emailed them. It's officially dead. Currently I am only doing moon and Jupiter/Saturn. Moon is main focus. I am shooting 1080 .MOV 60 fps video. I use PIPP to do a quality sort and give me X% best

Re: Registax and Win 11
Hi InQ,
Maybe Data Execution Prevention is enabled which is causing this problem.
I haven't used Windows in a dog's age so take my advice with a grain of
salt. I think you can disable it for Registax

Registax and Win 11
I just upgraded my computer and ended up with Win 11. Registax now gives a memory access violation Has anybody else run into this problem?

Bob,
What a shockingly gentlemanly response. Usually you have no problem with a
comeback that burns me nicely. Is everything ok at home?
Cheers,
Albert.

Re: Dark(ish) sky location near Ottawa
Well, given that the city has expanded to Arnprior to Navan to Manotic,
maybe you could be more specific about your 30 minute limit.
Generally, I find it best to go south, away from the major

Attilla -ok..I'll take the bait. Yes I'm sure Mr. Olson has exceeded my
imaging skills and gear. My last image was taken in 2007, Bob has had 14

Very nice images take by a master. But I think Bob Olson has exceeded
even your astrophotography.

Re: Dark(ish) sky location near Ottawa
Greg,
I used to image from the Hunt Club area when I lived there. Here is what I
was able to do from that site with a C11 and an 80ED refractor.
