I was at Bon Echo park last week so i decided to checkout the access road to Nirvana. The road in had just been graded and fresh gravel laid. The road up the hill to the airfield had?also been graded

Yes, really bad news. I too bought my C5+ Celestron from Kent and Tristan from their Rideau St. store decades ago.
I really hope that somehow the store can be ressurected.

They actually had moved back to Merivale this past January. Merivale and
Bentley.

The moved from Merivale to Carling many years ago. But the news the
Focus is closed/bankrupt/in-trusteeship is new and refers to the
Carling location.

As for buying a used telelscope, it takes a lot of knowledge to
