Definitely go with Lunt. I used to sell both, and a problem that can happen to either is a degraded filter in the blocking filter assembly (oxidation of one of the metal films). Meade doesn't sell

There is no such thing as budget h-apha. The two cheapest: the PST and the Quark both has terrible reputations for poor quality control. If you buy one, be prepared to send it back -- a few times --
