Raynomd and I are on our way to the Cincinnati Dark Sky site (near Peebles, Ohio) to be in an optimal area for the Geminids for tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday nights! ?We’re heading to the same site that we went for the 2012 Geminids.
The clouds do look like they will part Ottawa region on Wednesday night! ?I would urge everyone to give the excellent Geminids a try and report what you see. ?Thursday night could also offer good rates and possibly brighter meteors as the rates begin to decline. ?The peak time this year falls in the middle of the afternoon on the 14th. ?So I would definitely recommend observing on both the Wednesday and Thursday nights!
