Older Adults Education Forever is marching March 7 in Sacramento
Hi Older Adults Education supporters, Older Adults Education Forever will join the March for Students' Futures in Sacramento on March 7. Let's remind our state government that older adults are also students and also need good futures! It would be great to have about 20 marchers to make a strong impression. We now have 6 people who are coming for sure, and several "maybes". If you can join us, please let me know by way of a reply to this email. Also, please pass this along to anyone who might be interested. Our marchers come from different parts of California, not just the Bay Area, which is exciting! We also have enough donations to contribute $189.00 to the march. If you would like to make a donation, please let me know by way of reply to this email. There is a form to fill out if you are planning to come to the march. It has a place to indicate whether you need help with transportation, and also a place to indicate your size for a march tee shirt. Here is the link to the form: https://forms.gle/4CKY7gmRgerYGUCM7 If you are leaving from the East Bay, I will be driving to Sacramento and have room for one or two more people in my car. If you are coming to the march, please wear you OAEF tee shirt if you have one. If you don't have a tee shirt, you will be able to blend in with the other OAEF marchers if you wear a shirt that is deep purple or teal blue. We will have a banner to march behind, and will need volunteers to help carry the banner. The schedule for the march is as follows: 12:15-2:00 PM : Meet in the parking lot of Sutter Health Park/River Cats Stadium 2:00-2:15 PM: March to the State Capitol begins 3:00 PM: Arrive at the State Capitol 3:30-4:00 PM: Rally 4:30-5:00 PM: Departure If you plan on coming to the march, please let me know and I will send you my cell phone number so we can meet up. If you have a need for transportation or anything else, please let me know so we can work on a solution. I hope to see many of you at the march! Kristen

OAEF site for forum info, etc.
2
Hi Folks! At today's meeting, I volunteered to make a Google site that we could be useful for us for the upcoming Forum we're going to be hosting. I know that Linda Minor made us a site but Kristen said that momentarily, Linda can't work on it. So I volunteered to do something on Google. Here's the site: https://sites.google.com/view/oaef?usp=sharing I'll add the forum info once we have the date, etc. I was thinking that on the Resources page, we could have info that is useful for the Forum and that folks share at the Forum - both. If folks going to the march are wearing their t-shirts and holding the banner, it would wonderful to get some good pics to use on the site and social media! Cynthia
