Other than an ocassional Japanese outburst, my body also "sometimes" doesn't recognize the AF-D Nikon lenses!! Yamil, You are starting to make me a little worried about the one I have one order!! Tim .

Do you guys have opinions on Vikong CF Cards?? Amazon has the 256M CF cards for $174.99 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005AC8J/ Is thei a good deal?? Or should I stick with the Lexar stuff I've been buying?? Thanks Y

I just called them to find out where my Hoodcap was??? Well, I was shipped over a week ago, via USPS!! Ok, fine with me!! Where is it??? HTy're in California, I'm in Nebraska!! 9 days for a USPS package?? Something's wrong!! I asked if they could send another one, PRIORITY MAIL!! Their response....NO, let's wait another day!! How long am I sopposed to wait till they send me another one?? 2, 3 weeks?? I actually asked to PAY for another one and have it sent today via USPS PRIORITY MAIL, they gave me all sorts of excuses!! I know about Plastics moulding & manufacturing, this picece costs pennies to pour (I know the mold cost thousands), they could have sent me another one The way I wanted!! After all I'm the customesr & I'M RIGHT!!! I wonder if they would like to be treated this way themselves by one of their suppliers?? Y

Yamil, Interesting response from Nikon re: the Japanese language problem… I also asked how long the wait is going to be for regular shipments of the camera… Don’t ya love it… a “FEW” users!!!!????? We have heard about this reverting to Japanese problem from a few users and have reported it to Nikon engineering offices in Japan for examination. No other information is available at this time. OK, guys I got my empty box from Nikon!! I might return my D1X next monday, depending on turnarround time!! I'll call Nikon NY & ask them to see if they comit to a certain turnarround time!! Yes, my camera got to the dealer yesterday, supposedly with the fix. It was supposed to have shipped about a week ago until they stopped shipments. So I guess those of us who didn't get one of the first batch had to wait an extra week to get our cameras, but just to make things fair all you early birds get to send yours back for a week!:-) --Dave

Hello folks, I guess I want to make a public apology to the fine people at Hoodman Inc.!! Last week, while in a panic I posted a rather strong worded statement about Hoodman inc. I was proven wrong, by their professional response to my , well... WHINING!!! First, Hoodman offered to send me a FREE Hoodcap for my D1X, NEXT DAY RED , NO CHARGE!! I Respectfully declined of course, it wasn't their fault that the USPS didn't deliver my stuff!! They sent me the Hoodcap, & I'm happy:-) Now, two weeks later, the USPS still hasn't delivered my first Hoodcap to me!!! Well, Hoodman WILL send me another Hoodcap, to replace the first one, Priority Mail, & If I ever receive the first one, after it comes from it's trip around the world, I can keep that one too!! I have to take this opportunity to commend the folks at Hoodman & apologize for my outburst!! They're a company that deserves our patronage. Thanks Hoodman, & I'm really sorry!! I was wondering, with all this frezy with the D1X, I haven't heard too many comments on the D1H. Am I the only one that considers the D1H a great backup for the D1X?? If the old D1 is a great backup, IMHO the D1H is a better one!! Opinons?? Y
