Olympus P400 dye sub
Is anyone out there using the Olympus P400 dye sub printer? I have
read good reviews and also had some good recommendations... BUT.. Where does one get the printer"ribbons" for these and how much are they? I have not seen them for sale..(and as you see... don't even know the proper name!) How many 8x10's are in a ribbon, etc? Has anyone used the D1 or D1x in jpeg mode and used photoshop to tweak then used the P400 as the final output? If so...yea or nay? And if not... WHY not? Thanks, Tim |

faster than the Coolscan II that I have. It scans at 2500+x3600+, but I'll bet that there is not a noticeable difference in the result. May be a good way to justify an additional $1500 in expenditure in avoided costs. I have the bellows and slide attachment from a long time ago. Let me know how that comes out. I am glad to hear/see that there is no latency between the decision to make the photo, the attempt to release the shutter, and its release--assuming digital cameras have a shutter. Thanks again, Craig ----- Original Message -----
