The D1-H are the improved version of the original D1. Same file size,
quicker image transfer to the flash card, lower res when compare to the
D1-X. In the next month GSA contracts are required to be filled and after
that the camera will be ship to Non GSA customers.

What has anyone heard about the D1H camera?
Are they vaporware?
Have any beta or demo cameras been released yet?
Do you think they might do a last minute memmory upgrade because Kodak
did that with their DCS760 and to raise the burst rate for full size
files to 48 surpassing the Nikon`s 40 jpegs?
My supplier tells me that I will have a D1H this month and that Nikon
has returned full production of D1X`s and D1H`s now that the 995 rush
is over. Do you think as I do that that was a foolish thing to do and
that the rush should have been to D1`s instead?
