For your question, the important factor isn¡¯t the camera model, but the camera megapixel. ?Given that they are both 24MP they should actually do pretty well, but it will depend on the lens. ?I shoot a lot with a Leica M-10P, another 24MP camera. ?With Nikon I still use a D800, and at 36MP the quality of the glass really matters. ?Old Nikon primes fair pretty well, and some like the Ai-S 180mm f/2.8 are tack sharp. ?On the Leica I use a wide variety of lenses, one of my favorites is close to 94 years old. ?I have also used various M42 lenses on it with good results. ?I am personally very interested in the Z6 for vintage glass, I fear that if I get one, I may go broke buying lens adapters.
Remember, the lower the Megapixel, the more forgiving the camera is to the lenses.
