I wonder how much of this is the "grass is always greener" phenomenon. It seems to me that practically every camera on the market today is pretty terrific, the differences only really becoming apparent when put to a specific task.
I own two Z9s and they're really terrific all-around cameras, but the resolution is killing me. I was sitting on a basketball baseline next to a Canon shooter recently (using an R3) and I commented that it sure would be nice if Nikon would build a moderate resolution pro body like that. He grimaced and said the 1/200 sync speed was killing him. There's always something, I think.
The Z-mount lenses are killer for sure, though. I recently picked up the 135/1.8 and so far I'm thinking it's the best lens I've ever used ¡ª and I have some very good lenses.

What I find very telling is that a friend of mine, who is highly invested in top of the line Canon gear, is looking at shifting to Nikon for the Z9. ?He finds the current Canon offerings poor when compared to Nikon¡¯s. ?These days I don¡¯t have time to keep up on the industry, he does. ?It¡¯s been a very strange experience having him talk Nikon up.

Everything¡ and I do mean everything that I have heard indicates that Nikon is at the front of the pack, not the back.? If you are only relying on Ken Rockwell, then you want to look some more.? Ken has a very bad reputation.
