I have used the Optech rainsleeve some success.
The small is fine for a 85mm or shorter prime lens if you are using autofocus. I had to cut down the large version for a friend with their 18-200mm and for my 28-300mm at a recent Holi festival to keep the colored chalk powder out of our lenses and camera bodies. It doesn¡¯t support having to zoom or manually focus that well. I had a cheaper throwaway UV filter and lens hood on that was taped to the end of the sleeve to seal it up. In the end though it kept the gear clean. I nicknamed the cover setup the ¡°camera condom¡± as a joke.
In other parts of the world they use colored mica powder which is likely harder on the gear if it gets inside.
The think tank cover Dane talks about is likely better if you are using a tripod, although I am not sure how he is using it.
Just my experience on the subject.

Jon, you¡¯re an incredibly brave man. The idea of photographing a Holi festival scares me, I¡¯ve read about that on the Lensrental blog before. It feels like something to take a ¡°Lomography¡± approach to, and shoot film with disposable cameras. Having said that, I bet you got some amazing shots.
