We survived October 7th but we Lost it All!

Dear Friends,

We at??wanted to share a letter from the Ben Shachar family, who evacuated to an apartment in Teveriah, after their home in Kibbutz was burned down to the ground during the October 7th massacre:?

¡ª----------------------------------------

Dear Meir Panim

We know we are one of the lucky families, as we are alive. Being in our safe room for over 24 hours, seeing dead bodies and blood that still lined the streets as we left, and knowing so many in our Kibbutz were brutally murdered and tortured has left us with unimaginable trauma.

We cannot stop thinking about Daniel, my 14-year-old son, who was sleeping over at a friend's house that night. We still do not know whether he was killed or has been kidnapped to Gaza, both possibilities are terrifying. With me are my other two children, 10-year-old Mia and 7-year-old Noa, both confused and scared as they try to comprehend this all.

My husband has joined the reserves, leaving us anxiously awaiting his safe return. But throughout these moments, we take hope in the kindness and unity shown by the Meir Panim family. You not only provided warm meals, toys for Mia and Noa, and household goods, but also have been here to just listen with kindness and patience, as we process our trauma.

You have truly transformed our lives over the past few weeks, I don¡¯t know where we would be without you.

The Ben Shachar family

¡ª----------------

Imagine this multiplied by 2,000. That¡¯s the amount of families we are helping DAILY.? We are providing everything from apartments, furniture, meals, clothing, household goods, and toys. Additionally, we are providing them all with daily warm meals.

Give these families the essentials they desperately need to feel hope and stability again:

Thank you for your support,

Meir Panim
