Dignity and Humility
The Kotzker Rabbi explained: "There are times when the leader must display dignity in order that the rank and file of the people may have the proper respect for him. This seeming pride, however, must be like an outer garment, and not for a moment must it subdue the humility of the inmost heart. We learn this from the verse (Pslam 93:1): 'The Lord reigns; He is clothed in dignity.' From this we learn that pride has its place only on the outside, never within."
