On Mount Moriah
A rav asked the Tzanzer Rabbi why the Holy House of God was built on Mount Moriah rather on Mount Sinai where the Torah was given. The rabbi answered: "The place where a man served his God in readiness to die for Him (the sacrifice of Isaac) is dearer to the Lord than even the place where the Torah was received."
